More exciting development news for the Northgate market. Potentially 5 new office buildings are a part of the redevelopment of the Northgate Mall site. This could bring 500,000 - 750,000 sf of office space to the area. Most of this re-development effects the existing surface parking lots. Preliminary new structure outlines indicate that mall favorites Nordstrom and Red Robin will remain. Directly to the south, on the west side of the block and next to the new light rail station (opening in 2021), will also be a prospective office development in Phase II of the King County TOD. This phase would not commence development until 2021 and will likely deliver after the mall office buildings. Under proposed new zoning, the buildings could be up to 240' tall.
